The Aviation Zone was launched on 15 October 1997. It has come a long way since its humble beginnings, and many thanks go out to those people and organizations world-wide that helped make it all possible!

The author is a former Lockheed C-5 Galaxy loadmaster that served in the United States Air Force for 8 years and accrued over 3,000 flying hours.


The Aviation Zone web site is "unofficial" in nature and has no affiliation with the United States Air Force, United States government, or any other organization or corporation (public or private). and domains are privately owned and maintained.

Most aircraft information on this web site was obtained through personal knowledge, unclassified United States Air Force documentation, published books and other web sites. All sources for referenced material are listed here.
